Plagiarism is NOT tolerated and will result in an automatic ZERO for the assignment.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as presenting someone else's work, ideas, or language as your own without proper acknowledgment. This includes:

Direct Copying: Copying word-for-word from a classmate, book, or online source
Paraphrasing without Citation: Rephrasing an idea without crediting the original author
Collusion: Submitting collaborative work as your individual effort
Self-Plagiarism: Submitting the same work across multiple assignments

2. Detection Methods

All assignments are subject to verification using:

Digital Comparison Tools: Cross-referenced against previous submissions and internet resources
Peer-to-Peer Checking: Compared against other students in the current session
AI Metadata Analysis: Document version history and metadata are monitored

3. Consequences of Academic Dishonesty

Students found to have plagiarized will face:

An immediate score of ZERO for the assignment
A formal report submitted to the department head
Requirement to resubmit with a maximum possible grade of PASS only

4. How to Avoid Plagiarism
